In the beggining of June I was given a wonderful opportunity to come to UBC Learning Exchange and share with ESL conversation facilitators some of my ideas about intercultural approach to teaching English. This was one of the best experiences of the summer for me that continues to inspire me in my work.
After the workshop one of its fabulously talented participants wrote a poem about culture and the value this word carries in our lives. I love this poem, so beautifully written it explores a complex issue of how our cultural identity transforms in this dynamic world.
Please enjoy: Culture by JM Lysun

Thank you Natalia for inspiring me to write this poem. I am glad you enjoyed it.
